Trash and Recycling

There is no trash pickup at the cabin, and there is no outside trash can for storing trash. To avoid attracting animals, do not store trash bags outside. Please bring trash home with you. You can double-bag it using the large black trash liners on the shelf in the closet next to the entry door.

Put paper, cardboard, cans, and rinsed out plastic or metal containers in the blue bin in the entrance closet. Plastic bags and film should go in the trash, not the recycling bin. Coated paper containers, such as for milk or orange juice, are not recyclable in Sanbornton and should also go in the trash.

If the blue recycling bin fills up during your stay, you can take out the liner, tie it up, and leave it in the laundry room downstairs. Replace the liner in the bin with a new one from the box of 33-gallon liners on the shelf in the closet.
